About Us
Hinrich Inc was
founded in 1940 by Jacob Hinrich. He initially sold many people their first
radio and wired their homes for the first time. He also sold refrigerators
and serviced electric motors. As times changed he sold many families their
first television sets. He later began to provide cool homes for many
families. In 1967 Hinrich began to sell Carrier equipment. To this date
Carrier is still the only line of heating and cooling equipment we sell.
Today we are involved in the heating and cooling business almost
exclusively. We have received awards from Carrier for the sales of air
conditioning systems containing Puron refrigerant as well as other business
awards. In 2002, we received an honorable mention in the Carrier
Distinguished Dealer Program. This puts us in the top 1% of all Carrier
dealers in the country.
Our company was founded in Clifton which is still home to our headquarters.
The Clifton location also houses a hardware store that also sells Benjamin
Moore paint. Our second office is located in Kankakee at 1235 Stanford
Drive.
Please meet our staff:
Harry Hinrich is our President. Harry has many years of experience in all
aspects of our business. He has completed numerous Carrier technical
training programs as well as other industry sponsored programs. He was
director of the HVAC program at KCC for a period of years.
Mary Hinrich works part-time in the office and is responsible for billings
and other accounting functions.
Pete Hinrich is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and the University
of Illinois at Chicago. He has also completed Carrier programs in business
management as well as technical training. He is generally involved in sales
and oversees the general operation of the company.
Alice Saathoff is dispatcher and schedules service and sales calls as well
as all other office duties.
Steve Boelte is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University. Steve is our salesman as well as lead installer.
Don Longtin is a graduate of the HVAC program at Kankakee Community College. He is our lead service man.
John Marshino received his training in the United States Air Force and is a service man.
Larry Miller works part time and works mainly in the hardware store.
All of our field personnel are certified in the handling of refrigerants and undergo technical training on a regular basis.
